Mission Statement:

Elite Strength and Conditioning prides itself in providing athletes with top tier training programs in an enviroment focused on reaching the goals of the individual athlete.  An emphasis is placed on physical and mental toughness, in turn developing increased confidence.

   Strength, Power and Performance

Strength Power and Performance are the building blocks of E.S.C. Training.  Everything starts with a strong foundation.  Athletes must develop a good solid base of strength.  Once this strong foundation of strength and proper mechanics is created the athlete can begin to develop higher levels of velocity in their training.  The solid strength foundation is used to increse the athletes overall power giving them the ability to jump higher, run faster, react quicker.  In order to maximize this ability they must learn how to use their body properly in their respective sports setting.  This final building block, performance, allows the ahtlete to get the highest level of transfer from training to sport performance.  E.S.C. training programs are tailored to the goals  of the individual or team and based on increasing sport performance.

This training system is completely free weight.  No machines of any kind.  This has proven the most effective method of training for the athlete.

Benefits of Free Weight Training:

Using free weights has many benefits including muscle stabilization, coordination, mobility and transfer of training performance to sport performance.

  • Stability-Muscles have to control movement without any outside assistance.  This increases the strength of the stabilizer muscles allowing for increased performance and less chance of injury.
  • Mobility-Free weights allow for full range of motion that may often be restricted with bulky machines.
  • Coordination- E.S.C. training promotes whole body muscle action forcing the muscles to work together, just as the body performs during sport.
  • Transfer-The ability for training to produce results in an athletes respective sport.  The muscles are activated in the same manner and at the same speed in the weight room as they are in the sport.

Personal approach to training:

Creating a well rounded athlete is essential for injury prevention and performance. Working in a relm of training outside of an athletes sport is oftin as impoortant as sport specificity.  Training all muscles to coordinate as one single unit allows an athlete to maximize their physical potential.  A first time athlete at E.S.C. must first build a strength base and follow proper training progression.  This includes higher volume with lighter weight focusing on technique.  Once proper technique is developed the focus will shift to building strength and power.  Olympic lifting is the staple behind these training programs.  When it comes to producing power in the weight room no lift rivals the clean, snatch and jerk.  Programs are designed in 3 phases, preseason,in season and off season, each with a different focus. Performance depends on hard work.
